Compare laptop processors, memory, storage, screens and warranty before buying a student or business laptop in Kenya.

Start with the work you need to do

For documents, online classes and browsing, focus on a responsive SSD, a comfortable keyboard and enough RAM for your browser tabs. For development, large spreadsheets or creative work, check the requirements of your actual applications. Gaming and 3D workloads may need a dedicated graphics processor; an expensive CPU alone does not provide one.

Is 8 GB or 16 GB RAM better?

8 GB can suit lighter tasks, while 16 GB gives more room for multitasking and demanding applications. Check whether memory is soldered or upgradeable before buying. Do not assume that two laptops with the same family name have the same RAM layout. Match the exact model and configuration.

Choose storage for your files

An SSD generally makes startup and application loading more responsive than a mechanical hard drive. A 256 GB drive leaves less room for large local projects than 512 GB or 1 TB. Published capacity includes space used by the operating system and recovery tools. Confirm whether extra storage can be added to the particular model.

Compare the complete processor name

Core i5, Core 5 and Core Ultra 5 are different product names, not interchangeable specifications. Ask for the complete processor model, such as Core 5 120U, and compare the generation, power class and application requirements. The number 7 does not automatically make every laptop faster than every model bearing the number 5.

Check the screen and connections

Consider screen size, resolution, brightness, keyboard layout and weight. Touch and a 360-degree hinge are useful only if you need those features. A USB-C connector does not by itself guarantee charging, video output or Thunderbolt support. Check each function against the exact model specification.

Compare the full buying cost in Kenya

Compare the actual configuration, condition, warranty coverage and delivery charge alongside the price. Read the product page and the delivery, warranty and return policies. Ask about anything unclear before sending an order request. Prices and stock can change; the current listing and confirmed order total take precedence over a guide.

Check the current listing before ordering

These are general buying considerations. Exact compatibility, condition, prices and warranty depend on the listed item. Browse the current catalogue, compare products or ask Ezam about your requirements.
